Our day begins early morning in the heart of Chitwan National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest national parks in Asia for birdwatching, wildlife encounters, and jungle safaris in search of the elusive Tiger.


This natural treasure of Nepal, Chitwan National Park, boosts an incredible diversity of over 650 bird species making it a paradise for birders.From the Bristle Grassbird (Chaetornis striata) and Bengal Florican (Houbaropsis bengalensis) to the Rufous-rumped Grassbird (Graminicola bengalensis), White-rumped Vulture (Gyps bengalensis), Slender-billed Babbler (Argya longirostris), White-tailed Stonechat (Saxicola leucurus), Blue-bearded Bee-eater (Nyctyornis athertoni), Chestnut-headed Bee-eater (Merops leschenaulti), Common Hill Myna (Gracula religiosa), Red-headed Trogon(Harpactes erythrocephalus), Kalij Pheasant (Lophura leucomelanos), Black
Francolin (Francolinus francolinus), Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi), Long-tailed Broadbill (Psarisomus dalhousiae), Black-hooded Oriole (Oriolus xanthornus), Greater Flameback (Chrysocolaptes guttacristatus), Himalayan Flameback (Dinopium shorii), Stork-billed Kingfisher (Pelargopsis capensis), Ruddy Kingfisher (Halcyon coromanda), Plain Prinia (Prinia inornata), Ashy Prinia (Prinia socialis), Oriental Darter (Anhinga melanogaster), and the elusive Green-billed Malkoha (Phaenicophaeus tristis), the park hosts everything from common sightings to rare and critically endangered species.

But the showstopper of the day? A beautiful sighting of theGreat Hornbill a majestic bird gliding effortlessly and silently through the forest canopy, its vibrant colors and massive beak creating an unforgettable moment in the wild.

Birds weren’t the only highlight. We also encountered iconicwildlife, including: The One-horned Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), Bengal tiger (Tigris Tigris), Sloth Bear (Melursus Ursinus), Leopards (Panthera Pardus), critically endangered species of crocodile called Gharial crocodile (Gavialis gangeticus) and Marsh mugger Crocodiles (Crocodylus palustris) basking peacefully along the riverside.


As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting golden lightover the jungle, we returned from our full-day safari not just thrilled but deeply connected to Nepal’s wild, untouched beauty.
